What's SDGs?

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda) is a set of international development goals from 2016 to 2030, which was adopted by the UN Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015 building on the success of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The 2030 Agenda listed “Sustainable Development Goals” consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets in order to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable world. The SDGs are universal goals applicable, not only to developing countries but also developed countries, and pledge “Leave no one behind.” through the implementation process.
Japan welcomes the historic adoption of the 2030 Agenda as a country which has consistently contributed to the formulation and negotiations of the Agenda, and will make utmost efforts to implement it with international community based on the concept of human security. To contribute to actualize the sustainable future, the SDGs ideas below are implemented at SUZAKU CROSSING.

Sustainable implementation at SUZAKU CROSSING


Employment with additional salary to the lowest price


The salary for part-time job employment is payed as 1,000JPY: 91JPY higher than the lowest salary set as Kyoto city at SUZAKU CROSSING. By doing so we wish all employees working here and their families lead better life.
Furthermore, we are expecting fundraising and donations from now on to eradicate poverty in the world.

Non-Smoking Hotel operation


The aim of providing the healthy, comfortable environment to everyone as guests, staff, neighbors, and encouraging quitting smoking for smokers, SUZAKU CROSSING is accommodating as smoking prohibited at the property and all rooms.
Furthermore, all staffs are expecting the action from now on to “Donation for Vaccines for the World’s Children”.

Equal Employment of Men and Women, continued foreigner employment system


To make the gender equality come true, active employment for both gender are implemented at SUZAKU CROSSING. The present percentage of gender employment is 50%.
As the future goal, we are expecting to implement the support of return to work from childbirth, childcare leave support for male, and institution of caring support for staffs.

Implementation which relates the safe of local resident


Aiming peaceful and safe community development, monitoring camera is set outside the facility and recording 24 hours at SUZAKU CROSSING. In addition, to contribute a continuously living community development, we are cooperating like lending our ground on Jizo Festival “Jizo bon”.
In addition, promotion for both donation for the world cultural heritage and garbage separating are expecting to implement in the future.

Implementation which relates the environment


As the implementation about environment, we are separating the garbage which was thrown away at the property and also putting effort into ecological housekeeping service at the room cleaning. We always think about the responsibility of producing and consuming. Furthermore, we are willing to do anything we could do.
We also adopting the water saving equipment enable to spend the precious resource without waste.
We are intending to join and support the tree planting campaign as the next step.

Countermeasure against disaster


Practices to make both guests and staffs able to take refuge safely and quickly at a natural disaster occur implemented on a daily regular basis at SUZAKU CROSSING. Also, there is a manual about evacuation method.
We are expecting to register here as utilizing as an evacuation spot.
